Security Disability Representative?
Wilmington Social Security Disability Representative
If your initial application for Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits has been denied, don’t lose hope. Over two-thirds of all initial applications are denied, many for reasons such as the application didn’t use language recognized by the Social Security Administration to describe your medical condition. This makes it all the more important that you find an effective Social Security Disability appeals representative to give your appeal the greatest chance for success.
This raises the issue of how to choose a Social Security Disability representative.
At The Law Offices of Kathleen Shannon Glancy, P.A., we recommend that you consider the following factors when seeking an SSD representative:
- Testimonials/reputation in the community — Talk to people who have had the help of an attorney on an SSD case. Were they satisfied with the work that representative did? Does that representative have a good reputation within the community?
- Experience — How many years has a representative been practicing Social Security Disability? Experience is a great predictor of a representative’s ability to be able to help you.
- Willingness to appeal — Is your representative ready, willing, and able to take your case all the way, appealing to Federal Court if necessary? Will you have to change horses in mid-stream if the Social Security Administration denies your claim?
- Interview potential representatives — Meet with or talk on the phone to representatives who you are interested in. Find out if you feel comfortable and confident with them and in their abilities. Further, you should ask them who will be handling your case if you should choose them to represent you. In some firms, all work is done by support staff. You may not actually meet your representative until you have a hearing.
At our firm, our representatives are involved with each of our clients’ cases. We understand the importance of interacting with and getting to know our clients.
Our work over the years in Social Security Disability representation has earned us a national level reputation for excellence.
