Michael Glancy

Michael Glancy is a certified disability advocate. He has been representing Social Security Disability claimants for over 40 years. Mike has worked with Kathleen in her law practice for 35 of those years as a paralegal specializing in advocacy of Social Security disability claimants, He is the Editor in Chief of the Social Security Practice Guide published by Lexis-Nexis Publishing and a founding member and past board member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). In his career as an advocate he has twice testified before Congress on behalf of NOSSCR and has conducted numerous workshops on disability topics at NOSSCR conferences and as a trainer for AARP’s Legal Council for the Elderly. He is the proud recipient of North Carolina Advocates for Justice Life Time Achievement Award. Mike now associates as needed on complicated Social Security Disability claims.  

Mike is a long time resident of Wilmington and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He worked with Martin Luther King’s Poor Peoples Campaign in the 60’s and has been active in many issues in the community since that time. He has served on numerous community organization boards including DREAMS Art Center of Wilmington, YMCA, Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity, iFriends School of Wilmington and the Full Belly Project.
